[DANNY]. Male. Late 20s to early 30s. All ethnicities are encouraged to apply. Muscular build. Big “golden retriever” energy. Danny is a bartender and Raj’s best friend since college. Likely an athlete in his past (or still is), now channeling that energy into charm and social ease. He’s warm, affable, and effortlessly likable. Loyal and annoyingly optimistic, Danny is the kind of friend who adapts to whoever he’s around, often smoothing over tension without fully understanding it. He’s known to dish out the most cliché and unhelpful dating advice. But every once in a while, he’ll give you a gem that’ll make you rethink everything. Also, he kinda has a thing for Raj’s sister, Leela. SUPPORTING. Shoots 8 days.

[LEELA]. Female. Authentically South Asian. Mid 20s. Raj’s younger sister. Sharp, driven, and emotionally disciplined. Has dry wit. Leela has little patience for sentimentality. Grew up in the same household as Raj and carved her own path — rejecting romantic idealism that shaped Raj in favor of logic, control, and ambition. Even though every boy at school was obsessed with her, she couldn’t be bothered. Talent will play both the present-day and younger versions of the character. SUPPORTING. Shoots 6 or 7 days.

[RAFAEL]. Male. 30–40. Hispanic. Character written as a Spaniard who speaks with a Spanish accent (OK with talent who are American and of Spanish descent). This is preferable, but also open to Latinx talent who can speak with a Spanish accent. Rafael is a confident, composed, and undeniably impressive. A former professional soccer player turned orthopedic surgeon after an injury, Rafael embodies stability and success. Now engaged to Nadia, he represents the stability, success, and everything Raj feels he isn’t. SUPPORTING. Shoots 2 days.

[ASTROLOGER]. Male. 54. Authentically South Asian. A long-trusted family astrologer whose predictions have shaped Raj’s life. A colorfully dressed and overdramatic pundit — commanding and theatrical, with an air of mysticism and authority. He speaks with conviction, whether grounded in truth or performance. Equal parts spiritual guide and opportunist. SUPPORTING. Shoots 2 days.

[BRIAN WESCOTT] Male. Mid 20s. White/Caucasian. Must be able to play a high school teen and a 30-year-old professional. A dull skater-bro. Harmless looking with an air of douche. The conventional popular guy and the high school rival figure in Raj’s world. Confident in a surface-level way, socially successful, and slightly dim. The kind of guy who gets by on charm and popularity. Talent will play both the present-day and younger versions of the character. SUPPORTING. Shoots 2 days.

[ZARA] Female, 30-35. All ethnicities are encouraged to apply. Mysterious, dark hair. Stylish, confident, and socially fluent. Zara carries herself with control and self-assurance, navigating interactions with ease and intention.
